Reasons for the low fatality rate in India

India has the second-largest population in the world. Currently, the third most affected country by Covid19 but the case fatality rate of India is among the lowest in the world (less than 2%). Reason being food habits and medical treatment.
India’s staple food consists of grains, lintels, pulses, etc. accompanied by spices, herbs, and condiments. A combination of these not makes Indian food delicious but also rich in protein, iron, vitamins.
Turmeric is widely used in Indian food, which is a natural antibiotic. Indian food is a natural immunity booster and neutralizes many common diseases; this is one of the main reasons for the virus spreading at slow speed in India.
India’s government has laid down a clear protocol for clinical practice while treating Covid19 patients depending upon the stage and seriousness of the case.
The oximeter is playing a pivotal role in identifying asymptomatic patients economically and speedily. Medicines like Hydroxychloroquine, Remdesivir, Tocilizumab, Methylprednisolone, and Dexamethasone in combination or individually have been helpful in fast and high recovery rate (above 75% today).
Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines have been helpful in prevention and cure but not included in the official protocol.

In short, India has not left any stone unturned to control the fatality rate.
